Check out Gilad Asharov’s tutorial on ORAM and oblivious algorithms, presented at the BIU winter school on crypto. ORAM is useful in many applications like secure processors, cloud outsourcing, and scaling multiparty computation to large data.

Cash-like privacy with the scale and velocity of digital CBDC is a technologically viable future that we should all aspire to
The Fed's report on CBDCs is out, & predictably, on the most important issue of all - protecting/maintaining cash-like privacy - there is no analysis, just assertion, that anonymity is non-viable b/c greater scale/velocity of digital. Very disappointing. federalreserve.gov/publicati…

We are thrilled that our paper on #privacy and #CBDC published last summer has received such high attention. Recently, we released a slightly adjusted version of the paper. You can find it here: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.… @Quantentweet @alex_bechtel_en

“history tells us that most computer science breakthroughs follow the Anna Karenina principle”
"The hardware Lottery" is a brilliant essay by @sarahookr. While Sara uses ML/DL evolution as an example, I see parallels in other fields, cryptography included. go read! arxiv.org/pdf/2009.06489.pdf h/t: @LawrenceLundy
